21 next month... Where did that time go to?
On the 13th April 1993, I created the King of Shaves brand following being made redundant from my career in advertising, sales and marketing.
Our first product was a shaving oil that I filled nearly 10,000 bottles with by hand. Always up against Gillette and Wilkinson Sword, and way before Nivea for Men, L'Oreal Men Expert and Dove Men + Care, King of Shaves continually innovated in the nascent men's toiletries sector, from a single shaving oil to the launch in January 2014 of Hyperglide, the world's first system razor using superhydrophilic technology.
Next month, we celebrate our 21st anniversary, with more than six billion "King of Shaves" enjoyed around the world. King of Shaves is the only brand to have products in all the major men's grooming sectors, including shave preps, men's skincare, razors and electrical grooming.
I believe King of Shaves has been the stand-out innovator in men's grooming products for over two decades, with one King of Shaves product is sold every 6 seconds somewhere in the world. My team and I started and have grown a business that wins battles against some of the biggest brands in the world.
